8 Weeks

February 17th we had our 8 weeks appointment. I was actually 8 weeks 3 days at that point, but I like having Friday appointments. They only had a morning one, which I don't like, I would much rather sleep in! :)

We all packed up and headed down the street... my doctors have an office that is literally right down the street from where we live, it takes about 5 min to get there, depending on the lights.

It was all very déjà vu-ish, fill out the paper work, get weighed (lost 4 lbs), blood pressure, pee, and it was all with the same nurse that was there last time. Then we go in the doctor’s office and wait, we saw Dr. O this time, he is the same doc we saw at our 8 week appointment with Miss K. When the doc came in we asked all the same questions told me all the same things and we headed into the exam room. Again, same routine... and then he started the ultra sound. This is where things changed...

I was laying the table, feet up, with a very uncomfortable wand inside me, and he can't find anything. I saw the look on his face change, and my heart started to race. All I was thinking was that he can't tell me there is nothing there... that can't be possible. All of sudden he almost yelled "There it is!" and then the world was okay again. And there on the screen was the little blur that will grow into a beautiful little baby!
He told us everything looked great. You can see in the pic that the baby measured 7weeks 6 days he said that that was perfectly normal. And Miss K measured a little small at her first appointment too.

Our next appointment is this Friday... in the afternoon :) and I will let you know how it goes!
