Last night Me and the Hubby finished up wrapping our Christmas gifts. We wrapped and bagged and wrapped some more. Then we were finally down to the gifts for Miss K. We each wrapped a few, but he was having me write all the tags. When I got to the tags for K's gifts I wrote "Mom & Dad" on the "From" line, and no lie I had to hold back tears.
I only get this once. I only get one 1st Christmas as a Mom. It's in these little, and seemingly meaningless moments that I remember the 5 Christmas's we spent waiting for her (although I did spend one of those pregnant), all those years I hoped and dreamed of this very moment. The moment I get to write "From Mom & Dad" on a stupid Christmas tag. I really don't think that I am going to get though Christmas Eve, or Christmas morning without a few more moments like this. And I hope that for the rest of my life I remember how special it was for me to write a silly little tag.
